Thanks for attending our meetings.  For recaps of our meetings please see our News Page.  In 2013-14 we welcomed guest speaker Greg Perkins, had a table at the Don Mar Open House, visited the Philadelphia Art Museum for a private tour, visited Lambertville, NJ to a conservator’s studio and the Rago Auction facility, visited the Fleetwood Camera Museum at Vermuele Mansion in Plainfield, NJ, and had a visit to Winterthur in Wilmington, Delaware.

In April 2015, we met at the Collective Art Tank in Asbury Park, NJ demonstrating Mat Embellishment and heard Hugh Phibbs speak about hinging. In August 2015 we had tours at Talas and Etsy in Brooklyn, New York. Twenty framers met in October 2015 to learn about fabric wrapped mats, shipping, and to hear Bruce Gherman, head of PPFA. In November 2015 we visited at CCAHA, the Conservation Center for Art and Artifacts in Philadelphia and visited the frame shop of Ursula Hobson. In May 2016 we had a “Frametastic” meeting in Wanaque, with presenters speaking on Social Media, Closed Corner Frames and Shop Design.  In September 2016 framers from three states took a tour of the Met with frame historian Suzanne Smeaton. To complete 2016, framers toured the James Michener Museum in Doylestown, PA.  We met with paper conservator Susan Duhl in the Penn Color Boardroom. In June 2018 many framers from PA, NJ and NY travelled to Worcester, MA for FrameCon.  We hope that next year, Metro Atlantic PPFA members will attend this event.
